We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
Advice to participants of the Mudbash Rover Scout event at Mafeking Rover Park over the Queens Birthday Long weekend, June 2014.
Concerns have been raised with local Victoria Police officers regarding the driving of some vehicles to and from the Mudbash event.
Issues identified include:
- Driving at a dangerous speed given the road conditions, with wandering wildlife/livestock and adverse weather conditions.
- Driving of vehicles with heavily loaded trailers at a fast rate of speed on narrow winding roads.
- Driving to and from the event whilst tired or fatigued.
If these behaviors continue there is a real chance of serious injury and death. I implore all of you to act and drive responsibly taking this advice into account.
Also bear in mind that a number of large Log Trucks frequently use the roads in the vicinity of the Mafeking Rover Park, and their un-expected presence on the road can also be a serious traffic hazard. As such, the bitumen surface on the road has detoriated and there are several pot-holes and rough sections present.
Local Highway Patrol officers will be out actively policing the roads to and from the event. Members of Police Scouters Victoria will also be active in the area with the aim of making the event safe for everyone.

Presold ticket sales have now closed. But don't worry, you're still able to buy tickets at the gate when you get to Mudbash!
Tickets are $80, we look forward to seeing you there!
Anyone who is not a current Rover, or even a member of Scouting, is still welcome to camp at Mudbash.
All campers must meet the following requirements for entry:
- They must be at least 18 years of age.
- They must be hosted by a Rover Crew, who will take responsibility for them for the entirety of the weekend.
Members of the general public, and Scouting members who are not members of Rover Scout Motorsport Victoria, will not be able to race in a competitive car, but can take part in Hot Laps, which will be happening on Saturday for any one onsite wanting to participate.
The Cas Terras BP Guild can also take responsibility for non-Rover campers.
