Wondering whats involved with building a car to regulations? Which regulations to use? This is the place.

This is the page that will help direct you in the right direction.

RSM Standing Regulations

The first place to go for questions regarding Vehicle Specifications for any RSM event is the RSM Standing Regulations. These have been developed by the RSM Committee to help guide new competitors towards the correct CAMS vehicle guidelines while also adding some additional requirements for all RSM competition vehicles

The RSM Standing Regulations can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

While the Standing Regulations, there are a number of references to CAMS Schedules. These are the key requirements for Competition Vehicle across all Motorsport categories and must be adhered to unless an exclusion or  higher requirements is stated in the Club Standing Regulations. Remember, the higher requirements are for your safety!

CAMS Schedules

All are available on www.camsmanual.com.au.

  • Schedules A & B: These are the CAMS General Requirements for Automobiles.
  • Schedule D: These Regulations refer to Suitable Apparel Requirements for clothing, Helmets and Goggles/Visors.
  • Schedule H: Requirements for Fire Extinguishers.
  • Schedule J: Requirements for R.O.P.S (Roll Cages).
  • Group 4H: Discpline Specific Requirements for Group 4H Motorkhana Vehicles. If unsure after reading these Specs, contact the Chief Scrutineer to determine whether you fit this category.
  • Off Road - General Requirements (GR): These regulations are more specifically targeted towards Off Road style vehicles such as Space Frame Buggies (Different from Motorkhana Specials).
