National Rover Council
Nominations for positions on the NRC for 2021 have now opened. Details are as follows:
Executive: Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Training & Development Officer and Secretary
Standing Project Officers: Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Environment & Sustainability Officer, and PR & Marketing Officer
Nominations close at 9AM AEDT on Friday 29 January 2021, with elections scheduled later that day (the first day of the 2021 NRC Conference). The positions are open to invested Rovers currently registered with a Branch of Scouts Australia, and are subject to endorsement from their BRC Chair; prior experience on the National Rover Council is not a requirement of these positions. To allow all candidates an equal opportunity, we ask them to provide a Voice Memo (electronic recordings) of no more than 5 min - outlining their reasons for candidacy. These Voice Memos must be submitted to the Returning Officer (NRC Adviser) by the close of nominations. Any concerns with providing a voice memo, please contact the Returning Officer to discuss alternative options. The voice memo will not be distributed beyond the Returning Officer, and will only be played for the purpose of the election. Immediately after the Conference, all voice memos will be destroyed.
