Rovers Victoria

Centenary Year

As the year draws to a close it is appropriate to reflect upon what has occurred in the Rover Section during what has been our Centenary year. At Crew level there has been much activity, particularly utilising the Crew Centenary packs developed by the National Rover Council. Similarly, Regions have been involved in various forms of celebrations. On a State level, and there has been a number of celebrations on a broader front including the Centenary Rover Dinner and culminating in Moot 100 conducted a few weeks ago. Members of the Section have also been invited to give presentations at a variety of forums.

To everybody involved, as a participant and/or an event organiser, THANK YOU for being a part of the Rover Centenary year and helping celebrate what is “a once in a hundred years” event. May we continue to prepare the groundwork for the next Centenary.

Finally, could I take the opportunity to wish all those in the Scouting community a Merry Christmas and hope that you have a happy and safe New Year.
